Community projects and initiatives are only limited by your imagination. We have organised events and shows, organised charity fundraiser’s and shop local schemes. We’ve run seasonal events, entered carnivals and car shows, booked bands, run quiz nights, commissioned local artists, we even have a miniature Shetland pony that helps with fundraising.
And of course, we created have our own town version of the iconic Monopoly board game, which is raising money for good causes.
I have worked with Liz on a number of projects over the past few years and she has been a great source of inspiration and creativity. She is well connected to the business community in Faversham, and has great knowledge of the local area. This was demonstrated and greatly appreciated when we ran 2 Shop Local campaigns in 2020/21 called Fiver Fest, resulting in the collaboration of over 100 local businesses taking part in a 2 week long event, encouraging local residents to think about their local economy and support local and independent businesses.
Liz’s latest project, Faversham Monopoly, is the culmination of a long-held dream to create a Monopoly Board based on her home town. Liz’s ability to create fun, clever and workable solutions has resulted in the board being uniquely funded and designed through a combination of sponsorship and, something close to Liz’s heart, community engagement. The sponsorship opportunities available have been so well regarded, that they were quickly oversubscribed. Imaginative, clever and consistent marketing and publicity tactics have ensured that 25% of the games have been sold ahead of production.
